Behind the work

M the creative tool

My name is Moulay Laredj. I’m the designer and art director behind M the creative tool. What you see on this site identities, interfaces, posters, and the odd experiment is my practice: obsessive about type, honest about strategy, and allergic to decoration that doesn’t earn its place.

I work with founders and teams who want a visual language they can actually use, not a PDF that sits in a folder. If that sounds like you, we’re already speaking the same language.

"We don't decorate businesses.
We build the visual languages they think in."

Our Approach

Systems over decoration

Every mark, typeface, and colour choice we make is load-bearing. We start from the inside out understanding what a brand needs to communicate before we decide how it looks. The result is work that functions under pressure and scales without breaking.

Our Philosophy

Tension makes things memorable

The most interesting work lives at the edge of two conflicting ideas brutalist structure with human warmth, monospace precision with expressive gesture. We chase that friction. It's where personality lives and where audiences remember you.

Our Process

Research, then instinct

We immerse in a client's world before we pick up a pen. Competitor audits, audience mapping, cultural context all of it feeds a brief that's tight enough to sprint from. Then we trust instinct to take it somewhere unexpected.

Our Clients

Founders & challengers

We work best with teams that are building something genuinely new startups rewriting categories, agencies needing a creative partner, and brands ready to shed the generic and own something specific. If that's you, let's talk.
